Contract management
Organisations sometimes have the capacity to achieve successful funding or partnerships, but struggle to understand or recognise their contractual obligations during implementation of a successful project. Others have new individuals or teams with a new remit who would benefit from mentoring.
Do you have a newly funded project? Do you understand the contract that you are about to sign or have signed? Or are you in the process of implementing a development-funded project? Do you have a good track record of implementation success with the donor? Do you have documented guidance for staff managing contracts?
We provide contract management training and inception meeting facilitation. This gives staff a strong grounding for in effective contract management and implementation. However, we also work alongside individuals or teams on a more ongoing basis, offering advise on a fixed term, call down or quarterly basis. This helps to keep a project or programme on track, mitigating against problems further down the line, and builds organisational capacity for the implementation of development-funded projects.
We can also look at your contract when you are funded to help you understand what this means for implementation. We are not contract lawyers and you should always have legal oversight before signing any contract. However we understand the implications of certain clauses from a technical perspective. For example Intellectual Property clauses and what this might mean for any products or tools you develop as part of a project.
