Advise on the development of a second Partnership Fund programme between WWF Fiji, WWF NZ and NZAID, focused on responsible tuna sourcing. Mentor the development of a results framework aligned with the NZAID results framework process and development strategy. Successful at concept stage. Full activity design phase ongoing.
Renewable World UK, East Africa, South Asia and the Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN)
Support Renewable World and ALIN in the development of a concept for a highly competitive EU call. Help the teams to consider how to pitch their strengths and niche abilities in a competitive environment, and challenge their approaches in relation to the call guidelines. Ongoing.
WWF European Policy Office
Steer the development of multi-country, multi-partner consortium proposal to the EU Development Education and Awareness (DEAR) budget line on hydropower, water and energy during 2016, helping the team consider how to monitor and evidence that awareness has been raised and that the public are responding to calls to action.
Renewable World UK and East Africa
Advise on the strategy of a USADF proposal about solar micro-grids for Lake Victoria communities, supporting the team to think about a phased approach from demonstration towards scale, whilst retaining their skills in evidencing intended and unintended impacts of energy on people's lives and livelihoods. The proposal was successfully funded in May 2016.
WWF Solomon Islands
Facilitate a proposal design workshop in Honiara on fisheries rights based management, helping the team to examine the problems, stakeholders, solutions and approach. Support the team in converting the workshop outputs into a detailed proposal with a results framework, risk and mitigation plan, gantt chart and budget. The €500,00 project was funded in July 2015.
WWF UK Freshwater Programme, the Rivers Trust and the West Country Rivers Trust
Coordinate the development and submission of an EU LIFE Information and Governance proposal under the water theme. Take the WWF UK and Rivers Trusts teams through the process from understanding the objectives of LIFE, through design and development of a monitoring plan, to final submission and the review process. The €2.2m proposal was funded in April 2014.
WWF Pacific Programme Office Marine Programme
Oversee the rapid submission of a New Zealand Partnerships Funds concept note, which led to a funded design phase. Creatively explore the project design through a three-day team workshop in Fiji. This ensured that the viewpoints and experiences of all staff members were incorporated and what can really be achieved in the time period was groundtruthed. This was followed by a iterative process with with NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The NZ$2.1m proposal was successfully funded in November 2013.
